There are some things you look at and think, I'd like to do that but, let's be honest, I will probably never take the time to learn how. I've got Things To Do, dammit. Then I saw what appeared to be a really easy tutorial on gathering stitches - in the name of making a quick skirt - and I must have been avoiding some other pressing work because, in about 45 minutes, I'd done it. I used some old, kind of tacky remnant fabric that I thought Herself would love but, for whatever reason, she only deigned to wear for one picture before deciding it was really perfect for Gorilla (who, I think, has been wearing it ever since. Thanks, Gorilla). It isn't deep but I do love learning new things. Next, the Chinese language.
